Fufius lanicius to nieduży pająk o złotawym ubarwieniu. Trybem życia przypomina trapdoora – buduje sieć podziemno-naziemnych tuneli bez klapki, a na ofiary czatuje u wejścia. Owady zgarnia tak szybko, że Wasz wzrok może za nim nie nadążyć. Prosty w chowie, niedefensywny – przestraszony kuli się i zamiera w bezruchu.
Według nas, ciekawy, i bardzo marginalizowany gatunek, stanowiący dobrą odskocznię od ptaszników nawet dla niezbyt zaawansowanych w hobby. Przez wielu (zwłaszcza tych, którzy go nie mieli) uważany za brzydkiego. A co Wy o nim myślicie? Chcielibyście malucha?
//Fufius lanicius is a small, golden spider. It’s similar to the trapdoor spider – builds many overland and underground funnels, but without the trap. It waits for its victims near the end of the funnel. It’s so fast, that you may be unable to see it when hunting. In our opinion, it’s very nice species even for beginners. Easy to care and not deffensive – often acts dead when disturbed. Many people find this species ugly and boring, and what do you think? Want a spiderling maybe?
